Configuring

NAT

Pools
Several
internal

addresses

can

be

translated

to

only

one

or

a

few

external

addresses

by

using

Port

Address
Translation
(PAT)

in

conjunction

with

NAT.

With

PAT,

you

can

configure

static

address

translations

at
the
port

level

and

use

the

remainder

of

the

IP

address

for

other

translations.

PAT

effectively

extends

NAT
from
one-to-one

t

o

many-to-one

by

associating

the

sour

ce

por

t

with

each

fl

ow.
