You
can

activate

a

virtual

server.
Note
A
missing

operation

or

Admin

state
on
a

CSM

or

CSS

device

mos

t

likely
means

that

the

community
string
was

not

enabled

on

those

devices.

If

the

community

string

is

not

enabled

on

a

CSM

or

CSS

device,
and
any

kind

of

operation

is

performed

on

those

devices,

it

will

not

succeed,

and

ANM

will

not

provide
any
kind

of

i

ndication.


For
CSM
devices,

you
must
enable

the

community

string
of
the

Catalyst

6500

series

chassis.


For
CSS
devices,
you
must

enable

the

community

string
of
the
CSS

device

itself.
Guidelines
and

Restrictions
ANM
does

not

support

CSM

DNS

virtual

servers.

If

you

create

this

type

of

virtual

server,

ANM

issues
an
error

message

if

you

attempt

to

use

ANM

to

activate

or

suspend

it.
