In
the
Options
field
of
the
SNMP
Notification
configuration
window,
choose
the
type
of
notifications
to
be
sent
to
the
SNMP
host.
Some
opt
ions
are
available
onl
y
i
n
the
Admin
context.
Note
When
configuring
SNMP
not
ification
for
ACE
appliances,
we
recommend
that
you
choose
t
he
more
specific
options.
For
example,
choose
Slb
real
or
Slb
vserver
instead
of
Slb
to
ensure
that
the
correct
commands
are
issued
on
the
ACE
appliance.
Choices
are
as
follows:
•
License
—SNMP
license
notifications
are
to
be
sent.
This
option
is
available
only
in
the
Admin
context.
•
SLB
—Server
load-balancing
notifications
are
to
be
sent.
•
SLB
Real
Server
—Notifications
of
real
server
state
changes
are
to
sent.
•
SLB
Virtual
Server
—Notifications
of
virtual
server
state
changes
are
to
be
sent.
•
SNMP
—SNMP
notifications
are
to
be
sent.
•
SNMP
Authentication
—Notifications
of
incorrect
community
strings
in
SNMP
requests
are
to
be
sent.
•
SNMP
Cold-Start
—SNMP
agent
restart
notifications
are
to
be
sent
after
a
cold
restart
(full
power
cycle)
of
the
ACE.
This
option
is
available
only
in
the
Admin
context.
•
SNMP
Link-Down
—Notifications
are
to
be
sent
when
a
VLAN
interface
is
down.
•
SNMP
Link-Up
—Notifications
are
to
be
sent
when
a
VLAN
interface
is
up.
•
Syslog
—Error
message
notifications
(Cisco
Syslog
MIB)
are
to
be
sent.
•
Virtual
Context
—Virtual
context
notifications
are
to
be
sent.
Step
5
Do
one
of
the
following:
•
Click
Deploy
Now
to
immediately
deploy
this
configuration
on
the
ACE
and
save
your
entries
to
the
running-configuration
and
startup-configuration
files.
This
option
appears
for
virtual
contexts.
•
Click
OK
to
save
your
entries.
This
option
appears
for
configuration
building
bl
ocks.
•
Click
Cancel
to
exit
this
procedure
without
saving
your
selection
and
to
return
to
the
SNMP
Notification
table.
•
Click
Next
t
o
deploy
your
entries
and
to
add
another
entry
t
o
the
SNMP
Notification
table.
The
window
refreshes
and
you
can
choose
another
SNMP
not
ification
option.
