Assumptions

You
can

extend

the

functionality

of

the
ACE
by

installing

licenses.

If
you
plan
to
extend
the

ACE
functionality,
ensure

that

you

have

received

the

proper

software

license

key

for

the

ACE,

that

ACE
licenses
are

available

on

a

remote

server

for

importing

to

the

ACE,

or

you

have

received

the

software
license
key

and

have

copied

You
must

be

in

the

Admin
virtual

context

on

an

ACE

device
(ACE
module

or

ACE

appliance)

to
configure
ACE

devices

that

are

new

t

o

the

network.

When
importing

an

ACE

HA

pair

into

ANM,

you

should

follow

one

of

the

following

configuration
requirements
so

that

ANM

can

uniquely

identify

the

ACE

HA

pair:

Use

a

unique

combination

of

FT

interface

VLAN

and

FT

IP

address/peer

IP

address

for

every
ACE
HA

pair

imported

into

ANM.

For

HA,

it

is

critical

that

the

combination

of

FT

interface
VLAN
and

IP

address/peer

IP

address

is

always

unique

across

every

pair

of

ACE

peer

devices.
